Meet Sarah Gee
Sarah Gee is an interior stylist. Sarah spent her childhood in houses in various phases of renovation. She has fond memories of poring over design magazines with her mother, helping her father build things and was often overheard “secretly” re-arranging her bedroom furniture after being put to bed.
After graduating from Pratt Institute with a BA in Industrial Design, she found that her passion for New York City far outweighed her passion for hands-on furniture design, and in 2006 landed on a design team at Bunny Williams Inc. After taking some time off to start a family, Sarah struck out on her own in 2016 when she founded Sarah Gee Interiors.
Sarah is a firm believer in the William Morris saying “Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.” She believes that a well designed home doesn’t need to be expensive or precious and that things don’t have to be designer to be beloved. Sarah feels that children and pets should have access to every room in the house and that a home is an ever-evolving entity, one that should grow with its inhabitant’s always shifting needs. Sarah lives in the Maplecrest neighborhood of Maplewood, NJ with her husband, two children and various pets in their 1927- built Colonial. It’s just right for their modern life.
